Disagreement with a Supreme Court Ruling
The Supreme Court stands by its ruling of child rape. It rules that the death penalty as excessive punishment:
“…The high court ruling invalidated Kennedy’s death sentence and established that capital punishment for the rape of a child – regardless of the circumstances of the crime or the age of the victim – would be an unconstitutional form of cruel and unusual punishment under the Eighth Amendment. The majority opinion said a societal consensus had formed against the practice.”

There are many who disagree with this judgement. - I count myself among them. - This is one of the most despicable crimes against the most helpless of our society. The law should be unequivocal: harm a child in this manner and the punishment is death. There is no ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ for such a crime.
