Exotic Dancer to Mother to Jail
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A former stripper-turned-soccer-mom convicted of plotting to kill her former fiance 12 years ago was sentenced Wednesday to 99 years in prison.
Mechele Linehan, 35, who until her arrest had been living a quiet life as the wife of an Olympia, Wash., doctor, was convicted in October of first-degree murder in the 1996 shooting death of Kent Leppink. (Link)
While it sounds sad, everyone must pay for their actions. There is a quote from the movie ‘Murder by Numbers’ that I think fits the scenario perfectly:
You get one life, and whatever you do with it, and whatever is done to you, you’ve got to face that. You can’t pretend it didn’t happen.
