OJ Simpson’s Trial Set Back
A lot of celebrates seem to be getting special attention when it comes to jail time or court dates. One notable celebrity who owned up to his mistake and took his full jail term was Keifer Sutherland — who did time for a DUI. Now, OJ Simpson’s trial for armed robbery and kidnapping has been set back.
“Believe me I don’t want to do this,” Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass said as she postponed the April 7 trial date until Sept. 8.
But she acknowledged that it took longer than expected for prosecutors to analyze and enhance tape recordings, transcripts and fingerprints and turn them over to the defense to prepare for trial.

It doesn’t seem like OJ is asking for special treatment here. The problem seems to be with the court system and the lawyers taking too long to look at the evidence presented to them. While the setback is a problem — it is a normal thing for a lot of court trials.
