Cell Phone Numbers Included on Wisconsin Do-Not-Call Registry
As protection from unwanted telemarketing calls, Wisconsin is including cell phone numbers in the no-call registry:
“…The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said more than 92,000 cell phone numbers, and 1.1 million phone numbers total, are on the no-call list.”

People find that telemarketing calls on the cell phones are more egregious as those calls not only are interruptive but they cost the cell phone owner some air time costs. Some do-not-call lists have not included cell phones because it was assumed that cell phone numbers were private, as there are no directory list. However, that does not preclude cell phone numbers from being sold when that number is given inadvertently to a merchant.
