Sony Becomes an Advertiser on MySpace Music
Sony has been added as an advertiser on MySpace Music. It joins McDonald’s, State Farm and Toyota:
“…Sony will use the platform to push its music-themed comedy “Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” which stars Michael Cera. It unspools Oct. 3.
As part of its promotion, studio will skin the playlists on profiles that appear on MySpace Music for a week with branding from the film. Ads for the pic will also appear throughout MySpace Music.”

The advertising and the ability to download music could be financially lucrative for MySpace. There are over a hundred and twenty two million MySpace users. The goal will be to introduce limited advertisers to the users as added MySpace value - and not appear to be strictly profit driven.
