Tax Time: Deadline April 15
If you have been procrastinating about filing the 2007 statements, this is a reminder. You have some work tonight and possibly tomorrow. The deadline, as you know, is April 15th. Here are some tips from the IRS:
“…This year there’s an added bonus to filing your taxes on time — you would be among the first people to receive the economic stimulus payments or rebates. Those payments will start going out in May and will continue throughout the summer. Most don’t have to do anything to get the stimulus payment but file their 2007 tax return. The IRS will do the rest. The IRS will calculate the payment and send it off.”
