Java Gibbons
No, this is not a new type of coffee that you can request at Starbucks. The gibbons are a tree dwelling species that has come to be endangered.
WEST JAVA, Indonesia (CNN) — Primatologist Dr. Jatna Supriatna scans the treetops in a national park on the island of Java, looking for gibbons. This area is home to about 150 of the remaining 4,000 Java gibbons. These highly acrobatic creatures are easy prey on the ground and live well above it in the jungle canopy. (link)
These are very interesting creatures, like all of those on the endangered species list. The article by CNN makes me want to get a family and let them live in my apartment.
