Unit Fractions
Mathematics is a subject that most people dread, and will avoid at all costs after high school. However, there are times in life when math is useful and needed. One example of this is the unit fraction.
Unit Fractions are rational numbers expressed as a fraction. A few examples of unit fractions are 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/100. More specifically, a unit fraction is any fraction where the numerator is equal to 1 and the denominator is a positive integer. (Link)
Unit fractions are useful in statistics, physics and probability. How often do you use unit decimal in your life? I am guessing that they are used a lot more than you realize.
