tinySpell Watches for Spelling Errors

Spelling errors impact upon the presentation of a written work. Poor spelling can detract from good material because it undermines the readers’ trust in what the writer has to say. There is a small application that will monitor what is being typed and flag errors as they happen:

“…tinySpell can watch your typing on the fly and alert you whenever it detects a misspelled word. It can also check the spelling of text that you copy to the clipboard. tinySpell installs itself in the system tray for easy access. It comes with an American-English dictionary containing more than 110,000 words.”

There are different versions. One is applicable for Vista and another extends back to Windows 98. tinySpell is free but there is an enhanced version. The version with more features is not expensive. In fact, there is an opportunity to set your own price.

This is a creative application, especially for those people who forget to run the spell checker after the work is done. Nevertheless, your grade school teacher was correct. Re-read the work. There are some things that even the spill checker will not catch.
