Free Vitamins for the Dog

There is a traditional way that herders use to supply their dogs with some extra vitamins. This method may not have been scrutinized by scientific inquiry. The proof is in healthy dogs who work daily. The herders’ livelihood depends on dogs who can put in a good day’s work; and this method has been passed along from generation to generation.

The method of supplying extra nutrients is very simply. The herders would give some of the water that was used for cooking the supper vegetables to the dogs. It would cool on the stove and then go into the dog’s water bowl. It adds variety to what the dog consumers.

A variation to that is some people save the water and make ice cubes with it. This becomes an outside summer treat for the dogs. Now only does the vegetable water ice cubes keep the dogs hydrated during the summer, it is an inexpensive way to dispense some vitamins. And the dogs view it as a real treat.

The one drawback is that the dog knows where you keep these ice cubes. So you may have a dog looking wishfully at you every time you open the freezer compartment.
