Five Tips on Getting Homework Done
Homework is something everyone has — whether you are in school or not. I define homework exactly as the word says - work you have to do at home. This could be something that you need to get done before the morning or it could be an assignment for school. Here are five tips on getting it done.
- Do the work as soon as you get home. No matter how tired you are, do not give yourself more than a 15 minute break before starting homework. The longer you sit down at your computer or at the TV, the less and less you are going to want to do your homework
- Find your distractions and avoid them. If you cannot work with the TV on, then go in another room. If your cell phone is the issue — turn it off.
- Plan ahead. If you have an assignment due next week, start it now. Procrastinating will only cause more issues down the road. You never know what you will hve to do later in the week.
- Time is the most important thing. Don’t waste it. If you have a free hour then do some homework. Yes this tip is similar to number 4, but the concept is so important it is worth two numbers.
- Give yourself a little reward when you are done. That’s right, I said when you are done. Do not break your work into small chunks with many rewards in between. The rewards will make you rush. Make the reward good, but not too good. A bowl of ice cream will do.
Well, what are you waiting for? Don’t you have some homework to do?

Alcohol at the end of homework is always nice too.
