Flight for Life Ends in Destruction
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (AP) — A medical helicopter practicing approaches crashed on the roof of a hospital Thursday, catching fire moments after the two people on board escaped with minor injuries, a fire official said.

Life saving helicopters are seen as just that, life saving. Rarely do you think that something can go horribly wrong, and people can get hurt while being transported to a hospital. Luckily, this accident occurred during a ‘training’ run, and no one was hurt.
If a passenger was on board, the chance that someone would have been much higher. Usually, these helicopters carry patients who are in need of critical care. The fact that they are being transported via helicopter means than they cannot be moved in a normal fashion. Therefore, evacuating these patients in an emergency would not be an easy task.
