Family Lasagna Recipe

Lasagna — one of the most known Italian food dishes in the world.  However, there are tons of different varieties that exist.  Here is one easy to make recipe that will have your family drooling in no time.

Start off with your favorite tomato sauce (homemade works the best).  Add a spoonful of it to the bottom of a baking dish (I use a 8″x8″ disposable aluminum tin).  Next make a single layer of lasagna noodles (I prefer the ones you do not need to precook).

On top of the noodles, add a healthy layer of the ricotta cheese mixture (see below), and top with a mixture of Italian cheeses.  Add a little more sauce, and keep making layer after layer.  I usually make three layers, and end with ricotta, sauce and more cheese.

Bake the entire dish at 350 degrees for around 30 minutes, and then allow to set for an additional 5-10minutes.

Ricotta Cheese Mix

  1. Container of ricotta cheese (Use more for a bigger dish)
  2. Italian spices (oregano, basil, parsley)
  3. 1 large egg
  4. Parmesan cheese

Mix together and use as directed above.  This should be plenty for an 8″x8″ pan of lasagna.

As you can tell, I do not do a lot of measuring.  You really don’t need to — it isn’t like we are in an organic chemistry lab or something.
