The Top Dogs

It is a popularity contest of sorts. Annually, the American Kennel Club ranks the top ten breeds of dogs. These are the breeds that we welcome most into our homes. It is also a measure of which breed or breeds may have had greater media exposure over the last year.

Owners of mixed breed dogs may scoff and they may feel that their dogs have the best of genetic combinations. In the end, though, for true dog people, there is rarely a dog that we have meet who would not be a great pal and who be welcomed openly into our homes - and hearts.
