Season 7 has concluded, and the winner has been announced.  The winning David won by an amazing twelve million votes.  A total of 97.5 million votes were cast, between the two finalists.  At the end of the night, Judge Simon Cowell had said that David Archuleta had scored a ‘knockout’ and that David Cook’s songs were the reason he had ’sunk’.  Who won?  Read on to find out.

Idol’s Judges Pre-Judge?

After Paula Abdul’s mistake on air, when she judged a contestant on both of his songs — when he had only sung one, there have been a plethora of rumors about the show. The top rumor is that the judges make comments during the Idol’s rehearsals and use them as ‘notes’ during the show.

Religious Themes in Movies

On Tuesday, the first in the series of book by Philip Pullman comes out on DVD.  The Golden Compass, is the first of the three books.  I have seen the movie and I have read the first book.  I plan on reading the series, as the movies are released.  The movie stirs up a lot of controversy, because of its relation to the anti-god theme.

The Return of Mulder and Scully

Ten years after the original X-Files Movie, and the end of the series, Mulder and Scully are back.  After 10 years, does the series still have enough of a fan base to produce a successful movie?  I think that there is enough hype about the series, that the movie will be one of the top movies of the summer (if it comes out this summer)

Former NRA President Passes Away

LOS ANGELES - Charlton Heston, who won the 1959 best actor Oscar as the chariot-racing “Ben-Hur” and portrayed Moses, Michelangelo, El Cid and other heroic figures in movie epics of the ’50s and ’60s, has died. He was 84.

The actor died Saturday night at his home in Beverly Hills with his wife Lydia at his side, family spokesman Bill Powers said. (Link)
