One of the most effective ways to prepare for an exam is to take an exam. That may seem like an obvious premise but it is something that most people do not do. Nor do people want to prepare in this manner. It is anxiety provoking. Furthermore, it is intentional stressful and most people will shy away from that kind of preparation.

Fire season is a big issue for people in Arizona, part of California and other parts of the United States. Every year there are small fires and the big fires that require homes or cities to be evacuated. Usually, fire season starts towards the end of May, when summer starts to hit its hardest. However, this year, fire season comes to us early.

Anyway, for weeks my boy had been begging for me to please leave him somewhere, anywhere, and let him try to figure out how to get home on his own. So on that sunny Sunday I gave him a subway map, a MetroCard, a $20 bill, and several quarters, just in case he had to make a call.
