Today (2/5/08) we had a little bump in our server. The site was unavailable for about 2.5hours.

On Public Radar, our goal is to eventually let our readers do the talking. We currently have a system set up where you can submit an article (talk about the article, use quotes or just send us a link to the article and we can do the writing!). Once we get your submitted article, we read it and fix any grammar mistakes, then we post it under the name “Public Radar”. We post your name at the very top, so you retain ownership of the article.

I would like to be the first to welcome you, the reader, to Public Radar. Please have a look around our site and read the articles that are posted throughout the day. Currently, you will notice that we are only posting about five articles per day. This is because Catherine and myself and doing all of the work.
We would love to ask our readers (you!) to browse the internet and find the content that you are interested in and submit it to us! You can either submit articles (and we will write about them) or you can write about news articles yourself! On Public Radar, your submissions are just that — yours. You retain ownership of the content that you submit. We look over it and edit it for grammar and clarity. Your name (or username) stays with the article forever.

Thanks for stopping by PublicRadar!
We are preparing for our official launch later this weekend. Please feel free to look around and let us know what you think of the site.
Pardon our dust as we put the finishing touches on the PublicRadar.
