The U.S. women finally found their scoring touch against New Zealand. There were four goals from four different players: Heather O’Reilly, Amy Rodriguez, Angela Hucles and Lindsay Tarpley. The final score was a 4 - 0 victory for the U.S. National Team. This was a scoring display that the U.S. women needed to restore some confidence in their offense. It was also a statement to other teams that the American offense cannot be taken lightly, even without Abby Wambach in the lineup.

Those who doubted Natalie Coughlin may have dismissed the fact that she is one of the fiercest competitors in the pool. She is at her best when the stakes are the highest. She has shown that throughout her swimming career.
